Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan memberikan pelatihan tentang computational thinking. Computational thinking merupakan salah satu konsep atau metode berpikir  dalam menyelasaikan masalah berdasarkan konsep komputasi pada komputer. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah sangat penting untuk dimiliki sebagai modal anak-anak Indonesia untuk dapat bersaing dalam inovasi dan bursa kerja global dimasa mendatang. Pengabdian ini dilakukan pada siswa dan siswi  Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdatul Wathan Marcapada Lombok Barat. Pengabdian ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu Pengenalan konsep Computational thinking, Pelatihan Compuatational Thinking, serta Pendampingan kompetisi Bebras Challange. Hasil dari Pengabdian ini, terdapat 64%  siswa-siswi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdatul Wathan Marcapada yang mengikuti pelatihan CT mampu  memahami konsep computational thinking, yang dibuktikan dengan siswa-siswi mampu mengikuti kompetisi Bebras Challange yang bermuatan topik computational thinking.

Abstract: This Community Service aims to introduce and provide training on computational thinking. Computational thinking is a concept or method of thinking in solving problems based on computing concepts on computers. The ability to solve problems is very important to have as an asset for Indonesian children to be able to compete in innovation and the global job market in the future. This service was carried out for students and female students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdatul Wathan Marcapada, West Lombok. This service consists of several stages, including an introduction to the concept of Computational thinking, Computational thinking Training, and Mentoring for the Bebras challenge competition. As a result of this service, 64% of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdatul Wathan Marcapada students who took part in CT training understood the concept of computational thinking, which was proven by the students being able to take part in the Bebras Challenge competition which contained the topic of computational thinking.
