Abstract

The ability to think critically is a determining process in determining what to do with a problem and what actions must be taken to solve the problem. One of the most important aspects of developing one's digital literacy skills is the ability to think critically. Individual attitudes and abilities in using digital tools or facilities appropriately, as well as being able to communicate and connect information obtained from digital media, are referred to as digital literacy ability. The purposes of this study are to find out 1) the differences in digital literacy skills between grade VI female and male students of SD Dian Harapan Daan Mogot Elementary School, 2) the differences in critical thinking abilities between female and male students of grade VI SD Dian Harapan Daan Mogot, and 3) the positive influence of digital literacy skills on the critical thinking skills of grade VI elementary school students at Dian Harapan Daan Mogot School. This study included 97 grade VI students at Dian Harapan Daan Mogot School. This study employs quantitative methods, including regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is no difference in the digital literacy abilities of male and female students using the mean test. In addition, there is a difference in the critical thinking skills of male and female students using the mean test. Other result also shows that there is a positive influence between digital literacy skills on critical thinking skills
