Abstract

This research was conducted to understand the emotional intelligence of female school principals in managing schools during the covid 19 pandemic in West Lombok Regency. The method used was quantitative descriptive, with 60 female school principals as respondents using a questionnaire instrument on a likert scale of 1 – 5. The purpose of the interviews was to support information. The study results show that the emotional intelligence of female school principals is not the same as 75%, the maximum number in managing schools during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Lombok Regency. This research is obtained from indicators of the ability to recognize one's own emotions, the ability to manage emotions, the ability to motivate oneself, and the ability to recognize the emotions of others. Other factors encountered, namely policy changes cause incompatibility in the planning and implementation of the learning process in schools.
