Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar matematika materi kubus melalui implementasi Model Team Quiz pada siswa SMP. Mengadopsi desain Posttest Only Control Group Design, studi ini melibatkan populasi seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kotamobagu dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposif. Kelas VIII-B ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan Team Quiz, sementara VIII-A sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis statistik deskriptif mengungkapkan perbedaan rerata skor posttest yang signifikan: kelompok eksperimen mencapai 86.19, sedangkan kelompok kontrol memperoleh 74.28. Uji hipotesis dengan uji-t menunjukkan nilai t_hitung= 4.206 melebihi t_tabel= 1.725, sehingga hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H₁) diterima. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi efektivitas Team Quiz dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dibandingkan metode konvensional.

Abstract: This study aims to analyse the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of cube material through the implementation of the Team Quiz Model in junior high school students. Adopting the Posttest Only Control Group Design, this study involved the entire population of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Kotamobagu with purposive sampling technique. Class VIII-B was designated as the experimental group that implemented Team Quiz, while VIII-A as the control group with conventional learning. Descriptive statistical analysis revealed a significant difference in mean posttest scores: the experimental group achieved 86.19, while the control group obtained 74.28. The independent t-test hypothesis test with α=0.05 showed the value of t_count= 4.206 exceeded t_table= 1.725, so the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. This finding confirms the effectiveness of Team Quiz in improving mathematics learning outcomes compared to conventional methods.
